Back in the fall, I had the opportunity to photograph a special Thai Buddhist wedding between Cholada and Paul. It’s always such a special experience meeting couples from different cultures and seeing how they honor their roots in their weddings. Their ceremony took place in Raynham, Massachusetts at Wat Nawamintararachutis, a beautiful Thai Buddhist temple that is the largest of its kind in the country. Surrounded by just a few family members and close friends, Cholada paid homage to her heritage in a stunning Thai wedding gown as she and Paul celebrated their love with an intimate spiritual ceremony.
Their reception followed at Newport’s Castle Hill Inn where Cholada switched to a traditional wedding gown. She and Paul have many ties to Newport, including a family home, and they love driving down from Boston to soak in all the beauty, dining, and entertainment it has to offer. They are regulars at Newport Polo and the International Polo Charity Ball and love supporting all the local cultural and historic institutions. The couple traveled to both Thailand and France looking for wedding venues, but they both agreed that nowhere was as beautiful or meaningful to them as Newport.
Both the ceremony and the reception were gorgeous and truly captured the spirit of Cholada and Paul as a couple. I loved learning about all the special, personal details that made their wedding unique. They were great to work with and I wish them a lifetime of love!
