The Bohlin Wedding. It’s no secret that Newport is home to some of the most gorgeous wedding venues in Rhode Island! From the extravagant mansions to the intimate oceanside properties, there’s certainly something for everyone. I grew up in the area, so it’s always a joy when I get to return for a photoshoot. Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of photographing a sweet couple in Newport for their wedding and it was so wonderful to capture another special day in my hometown!
The couple, Yvonne and Zhe, wanted to honor Zhe’s Chinese heritage in their wedding and chose to have a traditional Chinese tea ceremony with just a few close family members at the Bird Sanctuary, a beautiful wildlife preserve in Middletown, on July 3rd where they officially married. Two days later, they hosted an American ceremony at the Bohlin in Newport. This beautiful venue looks out at Newport Harbor and it had everything the couple was looking for. Yvonne and Zhe loved the Bohlin’s gorgeous waterfront view and its prime location in the heart of historic downtown Newport.
I loved how this couple tied together their cultures with two intimate ceremonies! The Bohlin Wedding. Zhe’s father flew in all the way from China for the occasion. It was clear that Yvonne and Zhe wanted their wedding to be a special celebration of their love for all their friends and family. I am so grateful to have been a part of this experience and I hope the happy couple enjoys a lifetime of love!
