Valentine’s Day is almost here and I wanted to share some love stories with you.
ENGAGEMENT PROPOSALS
Over the years I have captured many wedding proposals, all of which have been successful. As a photographer, my job preparing to capture that moment is easier than you think. With a phone rehearsal and detailed timing and location, I can guarantee a successful moment in time.
You found the love of your life and now to plan the moment of popping the question becomes exhilarating yet overwhelming.
Choosing the time and location to pop the question might be the most difficult. Willi it be during a walk on the beach? Or dropping your knee in a field of sunflowers? Maybe during that vacation, the two of you had planned for months? It can be unique and fun at the same time. Let me share with you some of my top three proposal captures I have captured over the years.
Helicopter Ride
It was just an ordinary weekend in Newport, RI as the couple takes flight for a helicopter tour https://newporthelicoptertours.com over the island to see the beautiful sites from above. I was at the Newport Airport https://www.pvdairport.com/corporate/general-aviation/newport-uuu incognito and watched as the couple took off for their tour. As the couple returned from the helicopter tour, their parents were holding a banner “WILL YOU MARRY ME”. It was amazing!!
Message in a Bottle
Weeks before the actual proposal, I received the bottle with the note inside to place at the proposal location, which was Castle Hill Lighthouse. https://www.visitrhodeisland.com/listing/castle-hill-lighthouse/7843/
As the couple strolled for a walk after dinner at the Castle Hill Inn, https://www.castlehillinn.com the bottle was strategically placed so they would stumble upon it. Curiosity would get the best of her and she opened the bottle to read the note, “WILL YOU MARRY ME” I love when this happens!
Romantic Weekend
If you have been planning a romantic weekend, this might be the best time for that proposal.
This couple planned a romantic weekend in Newport, RI at the Chanler. https://www.thechanler.com.
As I played tourist on the lawn of the beautiful Inn, it all unfolded and ended with champagne delivered courtesy of the Chanler staff. Beautiful storytelling!
